Match Report

A 25 yard strike from Ross Morgan in the 78th minute gave the Hibs a 1-0 victory over Thornton AFC at Carleton Park. At stake was the Robin Kinnear Memorial Shield so it was the new Hibs' captain, Ian Hepburn, who collected it after this keenly contested game.

Both teams wore black armbands and observed a minute's silence as a mark of respect to James McNab whose funeral was the day before. James played for both teams and was also chairman and manager of the amateur club.
