On Saturday, Thornton Hibs played their first pre-season friendly at Duffus Park where they defeated Cupar Hearts. Second-half goals from Coco Mullen and Graeme Walker, who has just signed for the club for the second time, gave the Hibs a 2-0 win.
The other new signings, Grant McKay and Murray Carstairs, had impressive debuts as did the trialist goalkeeper, Mike Wilson.
Thornton’s next game is on Wednesday night at Gilvenbank where they’ll take on another Kingdom Caledonian side, Balgonie Scotia, who are managed be the former Hibs’ striker, Neil Sellars. |
